What a Girl Needs came about after its founder, Katie Conroy finally gave up looking for that one stop shop – the idea came to Katie after years of working hard for a major record label had finally taken its toll on her – years of running around the world and having no time to herself, it was time for a new challenge – and to do something that she enjoyed and had a genuine interest in.
“I would spend hours in airport lounges surfing the net looking for items that I never really had time to shop for – that perfect present for a girlfriend or a thankyou present to someone who covered for me once again because I was late home or for the school run!!!! We could all use a little help from time to time when dealing with our modern lives – juggling work and families is no easy feat and what a girl needs is there to try and ease the pain…”
